Our Mission

The Gretna Friends of the Library is a non profit organization that was founded in 2002. The primary purpose of the Friends group is to raise funds to supplement the budget of the Gretna Public Library.

Through our efforts, we have been able to purchase much needed items for the library including computers and shelving units. In addition, the Friends are major contributors to the children's programming at the Gretna Public Library.

We are currently a small group of dedicated members who is seeking to add to our numbers.
